MCT Halloween Hustle Day 3

Welcome to our 5 days of "Halloween Hustle"! Yep, we will have 5 days worth of last minute ideas to trick your treats!  You will ALSO see 3-D projects, home decor & even cards!  I hope you are ALL ready for some HALLOWEEN HUSTLE "FUN"! There will be giveaways all week! Check Emma's blog to see what it will be!  Also, if you missed out on our sale last week! Well....for this weekend ONLY, starting this Friday 10/25/2013 @ 12:01am PST  thru Sunday 10/27/2013 @ 11:59pm PST you can use the code OCT2013 to get 20% off your entire order in Emma's store HERE!  Remember she told you about making a "Teeny Tag Holiday" stamp set? WELL....wait no longer, it will be available this Friday, 10/25/2013  in her store HERE!

Today I have a fun little treat box that I made for my son for Halloween.  He's not a big sweets fan, so I made it just big enough for a gift card and a little bit of candy.

To make the box, I used the MCT Scallop Stitched Envelope Die.  I cut the envelope shape twice, out of some fun spider paper from the My Mind's Eye Haunted collection.  Then, with the piece shown on the left, I trimmed the two side pieces down to 1/2" and added an extra score line on the top section, 1/2" above the original score line.  With the piece on the right, I did the same to the side pieces and also trimmed off the entire top piece.  Then I folded on the score lines and adhered the sides and bottom sections of the two pieces together to form the box.  I was inspired to make a box with this die by my design team buddy Veronica, who made an adorable larger sized box.

I used a few tiny glue dots to keep the lid closed, but it still opens without tearing it.  To decorate the front, I used lots of fun My Creative Time dies with my favorite My Mind's Eye Mischievous paper.  The cute witch, from Fright Night, is stamped on a little index card made with the Stitched File Folder & Index Card.  I colored the moon with a Copic marker.  "A treat just for you" is also from Fright Night, stamped on a banner made with the Vintage Stitched Label Dies.  Finally, I used my favorite Teeny Tag Layering Dies to hold a sentiment from the brand new Teeny Tag Holidays stamp set, which will be available this Friday!

Inside I tucked a couple of little Kit-Kat bars, along with an iTunes card.  I used a craft knife to cut slits in a card made with the Stitched Journal Die to hold an iTunes card.  Perfect little treat for the non-candy lover!
