Scrappy Birthday Card

I've got a fun birthday card to share with you today.  This is going in the Mother's Day Card Box that I shared yesterday.  I'm trying to make a variety of cards for my mom's collection.  This card has a bit of a scrappy look to it.  I took a kraft card base and added a strip of ruler paper from Echo Park's This & That Graceful.

I made a cute little cork frame using the My Creative Time Stitched Mini Frame Die.  The fun sentiment inside is from MCT's It's All About You stamp set, as is the cool chevron arrow.  I stamped the arrow with Versamark ink and embossed it with white Zing embossing powder.

The red frame was cut with a die from MCT's Just Simply Live.  The pretty background paper is also from the This & That Graceful collection.  I heat embossed the "XOXO" from MCT's Celebrate Good Times and cut the cute ice-cream cone with a die from that set.  To give the ice-cream a bit more dimension, I added a layer beneath the pink that was cut with a Papertrey Ink coaster.

Sweet card! I like the embossing on the arrow and the ruler paper. Don't you like how the sentiments look in the mini frames? Great job!
